The Messina Group seeks a Claims Business Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for analysis of claims processing. 
  • Gathers and analyzes business data and provides recommendations to management to improve efficiency, quality, infrastructure, and cost management of the Claims department. 
  • Identifies claim-handling problems. 
  • Gathers data, creates reports, and extrapolates information for use by Claims Management team in determining staffing and identifying trends and training needs. 
  • Maintains logs and reports that track customer service and other important results. 
  • Assists in the development and monitoring of internal controls to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. 
  • Recommends, drafts, and implements procedural and workflow changes to eliminate inefficient processes.
  • Key Characteristics: Detail-oriented problem solver with proven ability to evaluate processes, controls, and issues to determine process risks and propose process and control solutions. Proven ability to facilitate discussions with Division Leaders and bring closure to control issues. Responsible for evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of operational claim control processes Experience in the Claims and/or Insurance fields or audit background a plus.
