Combustion Burner Design Engineer

Position         

Designs new products and makes improvements to existing products. May evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability. Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and initiate new product development for current and new applications
  • Carry out complete testing of new or revised products
  • Recommend new product technologies and new product applications
  • Analyze customer application and integrate product development into a new system development
  • Coordinate and initiate Research and Development activities
  • Initiate cost reduction ideas and integrate them into new product development
  • Generate Engineering reports and laboratory test reports
  • Accumulate documentation to substantiate patent applications
  • Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results
  • Confer with Sales, Production, and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods and quality results
  • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electronics, materials, combustion, or assembly
  • Familiarity with agency approvals (Knowledge of UL 197 Standard and NSF would be a bonus)
  • Up to 20% travel required

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of CAD systems (Inventor or SolidWorks)

  • Ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution
