Messina Group is looking to hire an IT Support Specialist for our client in Rosemont, Illinois. This role will tackle a multi-phased Laptop Update/Rollout project, convert user profiles, applications, connections, and log in information to new computers and operating system, and provide general technical support to end users on a variety of IT issues, such as, phone, email, and helpdesk-ticketing support on hardware, software, general operational/technical support for the overall LAN environment, and network related problems such as setup, troubleshooting and repair of user systems.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the transition of old laptops to their new laptops and Windows 10 operating system
  • Efficiently converting user profiles, applications, connections and log in information to new computers and operating system
  • Assist in providing general operational/technical support for the overall LAN environment
  • Perform duties relating to the development, maintenance, and support of the organization's information technology
  • Provide phone/email/helpdesk-ticketing technical support to end users on hardware, software and network related problems such as setup, troubleshooting and repair of user systems
  • Provide support to end users on a variety of IT issues
  • Identify research and resolve technical problems
  • Respond to telephone calls, email requests for technical support. Document, track and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution
  • Document and track projects and resolutions through the Helpdesk for future reference
  • Perform special projects and/or duties, as required, to assist department and Company in achieving its goals and objectives
