Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the compliance of packaging material for food products
• Understand and manage the risk assessment process for food contact materials against FDA regulatory compliance. 
• Engage with a network of packaging suppliers and internal stakeholders to gather screeners, and regulatory documentation, initiate the risk assessment process and finalize risk assessments. 
• Assess the chemical makeup of the packaging
• Manage analytical testing to ensure safe and compliant food packaging.
• The candidate may be asked to support some packaging engineering work including line trials and validations

Qualifications:

• Project management and communication skills
• Knowledge about Quality Monitoring Program (QMP)
• Familiar with the components and manufacturing processes of flexible, rigid, and paperboard packaging.
