Software Engineer | Direct Hire

Messina Group seeks a Software Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity in downtown Chicago – this is a permanent job opportunity with a major investment consulting firm offering outstanding compensation and benefits.
To summarize, the Software Engineer is responsible for assisting with bug fixes, modifications, enhancements, and database management related to C# / SQL Server Windows desktop and ASP.NET web productivity applications.
Working under the direction, and in collaboration with the lead developer, the Software Engineer will have the opportunity to tackle challenges in programming, data analysis, mathematics, and finance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated ability to produce clean, efficient code in C# and T-SQL
- Maintain complete, Windows client-server and ASP.NET web applications
- The position will be 80% support/enhancements 20% new feature development
- Ability and willingness to take full ownership of assigned tasks and solutions (design, implement, test, deploy, maintain, iterate)
